Chelsea Takes Measures to Reduce Wage Spending
In an effort to fund the renovation of Stamford Bridge, Chelsea is looking to decrease their wage expenditure by approximately £80 million. They have also partnered with Ares Management, a US asset management company, who will invest around £404 million in the club's development. With significant spending on player transfers under Todd Bolli's leadership, the club's wage spending has been steadily increasing. Therefore, Chelsea aims to cut at least £150 million from their current wage bill through player sales or loans in the upcoming transfer window.
